Mexico has some of the best and most diverse cyclings in the world and is a favorite destination to train and vacation for Ian Boswell. In this adventure, Ian teams up with his good friend Colin Strickland to take on a majestic and challenging four days of riding in Jalisco Mexico. Both Colin and Ian have a lot in common when it comes to the love of riding the bike. They also both previously won Unbound, one of the toughest one-day gravel races in the US.

Day 1: Ride From Compostella To Tequila

150km and over 2000 m of climbing.

We start off in the town of Compostella and start riding towards Tequila, Throughout the day we ride through the valleys of Mexico and across an old volcano; finally ending up riding through the blue agave fields into the town of Tequila!

 

Day 2: La Yesca Climb

170 km and almost 4000m of climbing!

A truly epic day and one of the best climbs we have ever witnessed. Stating the day at sunrise in the magical agave fields toward the base of the climb. 25 Km of freshly paved highway and 4000m of climbing. Completely alone, maybe passed 3 cars. Incredible view and world-class riding.

 

Day 3: Ride from Ameca To Sierra Lago

151km and 3118 m of climbing!

Starting off in Ameca and rode over a few climbs until we reach the town of Mascota. From there we head to the base of the Sierra Lago, which is not for the faith of the heart The Sierra Lago is a brutal climb of over 8k of epic cobblestone and gravel. At the top is a beautiful resort called the Sierra Lago.

 

Day 4: Mascota to San Sebastian del Oeste

48km and 1221m of climbing!

A shorter day today with the goal the relax and enjoy the views. We ride out of Mascota and towards san Sebastian for our final climb!
