Vuelta a Jalisco y Nayarit 2018 Information & Schedule
Arrival and Departure
You will be greeted at the airport by a Bici Bucerias representative. Flights arriving within 45 minutes of each other may be combined and guests may have to wait 45 minutes for the other guests to arrive. In this case, you will be treated to a drink...or two while you wait with your Bici Bucerias representative :)
You will be advised in advance of your departure time for the airport once we have all the flight schedules. We normally depart Bucerias 2.5 to 3 hours before flights.
Accommodations in Bucerias can be viewed at www.maraVillaNayarit.com. Final pricing will depend on number of occupants sharing. Seven night of accommodations are included in your pricing as the entire week has to be blocked off in Bucerias. Non-riding rate available for spouses/partners.
Accommodations in La Manzanilla and Ayutla still need to be determined. More information will be provided in February. We have several hotels where we have stayed in the past and just need to decide which works best for the group. Hotels will be a bit more basic, but will have eveything that we need to rest and recover before venturing on!
Your tour includes a welcome dinner at La Postal as well as a farewell dinner at Sukha Beach House. In addition, all meals during the 3 days in Jalisco will be provided. Please advise us of any dietary restrictions.
All breakfast meals in Bucerias will be served between 6:45 and 7:30 am at Luna Luna across from maraVilla in Bucerias. The only exception is when we are on the road in Jalisco and your very last day. Breakfast will be served family style and include hard boiled eggs, fresh baked bread, fruit, yogurt, granola, fresh tortillas, peanut butter, jams, fresh juice and coffee. We will try to have the on road breakfast be very similar.

This ride will introduce some climbing into your legs in order to prepare for the 8500+ meters coming over the next three days. The ride will also include a few laps around the La Cruz - Mita circuit.
Tuesday April 3rd
Bucerias - La Manzanilla (226 km)
While this will be the longest ride of la Vuelta, this will not be the most challenging! That being said, be prepared for a long day in the saddle as we tackle our first set of climbs. We will end the day in the little beachside town of La Manzanilla. Yummy fresh bbq fish, ceviche and shrimp will help replenish your depleted reserves and start your recovery for the next day.
Wednesday April 4th
La Manzanilla - Ayutla (183 km)
The penultimate stage will be the toughest ride of la Vuelta as we roll 183 km and gain almost 3000 meters of elevation. We will end the ride in the colonial town of Ayutla where all of its old Spanish architecture and style abounds. Since we will be in the heart of the mountains, our recovery meal will be fairly meat forward and consist of barbeque beef, stewed pork ribs, chicken, handmade tortillas, rice and beans.
Thursday April 5th
Ayutla - San Sebastián del Oeste (133 km)
The final stage of la Vuelta is here. From Ayutla, we will take on 4 categorized climbs including the final ascent to the magical town of San Sebastián del Oeste which will include 3 final km of cobblestone to conquer.
